It is very tough for founders (at least in early stages) to layoff part of their teams. From what I understood, people is all they have earned to brought an idea to life. Mistakes are something all of us make, they do too. To all of us in tech, this too shall pass.

I don't perceive him as member of a group, but as an Elon. He does not have normal human priors, no normal human relationships, sees the world from his own unique perspective, tries everything until it does not work, and then tries something different

On the plus side he has totally ended the dominance of East coast journalism and cancel culture on twitter, there is no longer a bluechecked elite that punished deviations from their preferred public opinion. And nobody is forced to take his opinions seriously either
