Google’s Gemini Ultra was just confirmed for release on Wednesday. Ultra beats GPT-4 in 7 out of 8 benchmark tests, and is the first model to outperform human experts on MMLU (massive multitask language understanding).

I don't perceive him as member of a group, but as an Elon. He does not have normal human priors, no normal human relationships, sees the world from his own unique perspective, tries everything until it does not work, and then tries something different

On the plus side he has totally ended the dominance of East coast journalism and cancel culture on twitter, there is no longer a bluechecked elite that punished deviations from their preferred public opinion. And nobody is forced to take his opinions seriously either
