I was wrong. I’ve been spending more time using Opus 4.5 in Claude Code, and it’s better than anything in Codex CLI. GPT-5.2 Pro is still a better engineer overall, but for agentic coding, Opus 4.5 is the best. My initial experience was pretty bad, but today, it’s been great.
