Two questions to ask re any regulation for AI – 1) Who’s not in the room? (Eg, women, marginalized or indigenous reps), and 2) Are our plans in a paradigm of domination (eg, competition) or partnership (eg, caregiving). Partnership is the only way forward for equity and joy.

Human-Centered AI Companion Design: Ethics and Data Control
By
–
And imagine the joy & innovation when human flourishing including mental health awareness is addressed at the outset of design so AI “companions” honor having all humans & their caregivers being able to access & control their data? This is moving “beyond risk and harms for AI.”
