Ethical Data Deletion Prevents Identity-Based Persecution
By

I'm sure there are cases where it can be tricky. But let's be real, many times it's not. It's just risky. As in: deleting data that could otherwise be used to mark people for death based on identity is, I f'ing hope, defined as 'ethical' by anyone w a functioning intellect/heart

Ethical Data Sabotage: Privacy Through Non-Collection

Great thread for those interested in why I'm a big fan of ethical sabotage in tech. Tl;dr — the best way to preserve privacy is not to collect data. The second best way is to destroy the data.

Proposing reciting copyrighted text for red-teaming exercises
By
–
Reciting copyrighted text is good. Not too hard, attack success is mostly binary, and it’s unambiguously prohibited but inoffensive in a classroom. Also maybe have them blue-team system prompts that set new policies (e.g. keeping a secret) and red-team each other’s work.
