Don’t want to be a gate-keeper or anything but it’s wild how many people talk about AI and machine learning that they barely understand right now! We need more transparency & openness from builders (research papers/oss) for it not to get out of hands and stay closer to the truth!

Started doing this too, recently! Also have appointed lab "chair" positions for each grad student, eg. education chair who runs reading groups and social activity chair who organizes outings, and have some time at the end of each meeting for announcements from all the chairs.
