Llama Open Source Release Ethics Phil Zimmerman Comparison
By

I appreciate the compliment, but I'm not sure I deserve it.
Unlike Phil Zimmerman, who wrote the code for PGP and risked imprisonment by releasing it, I didn't write Llama, and I didn't risk imprisonment! -
AI Research Regulation Versus Product Deployment Control
By
–
Regulating product deployment is fine.
In the case of life-critical applications like driving assistance, it's necessary. What we are opposed to is regulating AI research and development.

I agree. Same story with Meta.
In an unstable legal and political landscape, large companies have to be cautious.
Smaller companies, not so much. -
AI Safety: Mental Stability Testing Before Powerful Technology Access
By

I don't have anything in mind, but since some people like you assimilate technology like AI and synthetic biology with powerful weapons, it would only seem logical to push the analogy: we don't put powerful weapons in the hands of anyone without testing their mental stability.
