Its pretty funny that the Turing Test used to be a very big deal a couple years ago & now it isn't. (I know retrospectively we all know how flawed it was, but for decades it was The Test, and the only way to beat it was through limited interaction & trickery, eg Eugene Goostman)

LLMs Bridge Math and Coding Cultures in Education
By
–
The Math Olympiad is great, coding is important, accelerating science has tremendous value. But LLMs give a chance for both cultures to contribute in ways that have not been possible for a long time.

AI generative systems democratize creative production across modalities
By
–
These are systems that respond to human writing and (often) techniques that apply to human psychology. Everyone now has a machine that makes words, images, video, sound where the limit is often your own ability to imagine something new (or invoke old ideas others do not know).

Liberal Arts Approach to AI Mastery Better Than STEM
By
–
Don't leave AI to the STEM folks. They are often far worse at getting AI to do stuff than those with a liberal arts or social science bent. LLMs are built from the vast corpus human expression, and knowing the history & obscure corners of human works lets you do far more with AI

Persuasion techniques tested on GPT-4o model
By
–
I didn't realize that Bob had an X account: @RobertCialdini And we did test GPT-4o as well and found that persuasion worked for that model as well, when there weren't floor or ceiling effects.
