There are so many misguided people on both sides and it's turning nasty *because* of the underlying corporate exploitation. You can't just be innocent on the AI "side", as there are many sociopaths and assholes that pleasure in abusing others no matter what — part of their fun.

Corporate exploitation and moral division in tech industry
By
–
Lots of words to miss the point! It's neither about Art nor AI; it's about old-fashioned exploitation. Corporations knowingly abusing their power, causing division among those who think they should be stopped & those that will use anything to get ahead without moral inhibitions.

Senior mentorship preventing team growth through experience dominance
By
–
This also helps create a natural evolution for seniors to become so experienced they can hold space for potential non-fatal mistakes (which may turn out better). Otherwise, seniors often tend to dominate and suffocate growth of other members in the team: "We tried that in 2015."

The most senior person(s) in the room should take notes. Notes are most accurate that way, but also it'll ensure growth, ownership, and fresh ideas from more junior roles in the debate. Senior should only speak when asked, or very last, or question when fatal mistake underway.

LLaMa Reproducibility: Data Access Essential for Scientific Validation
By
–
Reproducing a benchmark is a minor managerial task. It's not even engineering. The scientific hypothesis of LLaMa models is: "If we overtrain the same model architecture on our data, it outperforms previous iteration." Without the data, LLaMa data the experiment is not repro.

Reproducible Inference Lacks Scientific Rigor Without Hypothesis

Reproducible inference means nothing for models, who cares? "I put in this data and got this data out." Congrats. What was the hypothesis?

AI Model Reproducibility and Training Data Transparency Issues
By
–
The models are trained with unknown data, they are neither theoretically reproducible. Nor are they practically reproducible since there's no training code and details matter.
