These are the kinds of (terrible) arguments you'd expect from defense lawyers with adversarial mindsets. The government is supposed to be independent of such external interests, at least pretend to be, WTF. "We thank the KC for their diligent work."

Gosh, you're really not up to date. There have been verdicts in both U.S. and EU, and it was decided prima-facie infringement — requiring a Copyright exception. (Burden of proof was on defendants) In the U.K. there are no exceptions for commercial AI.
