Quite a bit of software engineering is about communication, working with others, etc. So, I didn't explicitly say that, but for clarity: being good at working in a team, discussing approaches with others, motivating people about why something is important, etc. are all important.

"Lock in" is the most overly used, and least useful, term we use in tech. Or one of them. Pretty much every vendor uses it to refer to Something Bad™ that other vendors will do to them…even as they do it, too (just in different ways). All tech choices bring "lock in"
