Well, that's the hope. My (short-term) fear is if it proves that outside of a tiny subpopulation there's no demand for good writing or ability to discern it; the AI outputs go to where there's max demand, and sparkling generic deepities outcompete thinking.

If you do watch it, pretend to be in 1968, when the film was originally released. I'd also highly recommend Christopher Nolan's 2021 4K "unrestored" version. 2001 is not only my all time favorite movie, but the reason why I chose science and AI.
