i built this 4d reconstruction of iran's chokehold on the world's oil. almost nothing is getting through the strait of hormuz.

I turned on ship tracking in God's Eye View and watched the Strait of Hormuz go dark.

I turned on ship tracking in God's Eye View and watched the Strait of Hormuz go dark. Ship crossings went from hundreds a day to a handful. Some days, none. You can see the new route clearly — Iran's tightly run "toll booth." Built dark vessel detection to track ships going silent mid-transit. Then I layered in the strikes. Both sides. Vessels getting hit. Oil refineries. Before and after satellite imagery. Synced it all to oil futures — watched Brent crude rip past $100 as the timeline plays out. One chokepoint. A fifth of the world's oil. And almost nothing is getting through.

Cool to see pika reinventing itself. Now I kinda wanna embody my open claw agent and jump into a real time video call. https://t.co/Oi98CNnjGl

Cool to see pika reinventing itself. Now I kinda wanna embody my open claw agent and jump into a real time video call. Pika (@pika_labs) Conversations tend to go better with a face and a voice. That’s why we’re thrilled to release the beta version of the first video chat skill for ANY agent, powered by our new real-time model, PikaStream1.0. The skill preserves memory and personality, and enables real-time adaptability. And if you use it with your Pika AI Self, they’ll be able to execute agentic tasks during the call 💅 — https://nitter.net/pika_labs/status/2039804583862796345#m

3d gaussian splats suddenly looking way less splatty! high frequency details look so much better with MRNF + PPISP https://t.co/hMBrdgWsyB

3d gaussian splats suddenly looking way less splatty! high frequency details look so much better with MRNF + PPISP Tavius Koktavy 🌐💿🔆 (@TaviusKoktavy) In @lichtfeldstudio the new MRNF strategy plus PPISP is great. Compare MCMC (left) to MRNF (right) on a quick 20 second scan. Full-screen recommended Fine details pop, backgrounds are much more clear, and the color space is true-to-life. — https://nitter.net/TaviusKoktavy/status/2039061893722091533#m

came out pretty damn crispy for a handheld 3d scan!
– 334 stills taken with a sony a7iii + 18mm prime lens
– imagery posed w/ epic's reality scan
– radiance field trained w/ litchfeld studio pic.twitter.com/MQN7RzPslJ

prediction market to bet on how many ships are let through the strait of hormuz. who's building this? https://t.co/IHoUxqqGli

prediction market to bet on how many ships are let through the strait of hormuz. who's building this? Bilawal Sidhu (@bilawalsidhu) Visualizing the Strait of Hormuz shutdown using AIS tracking data. Wild to see the precipitous drop off in transits from 100's of vessels per day to a handful. The craziest part is zooming in to track a single Indian LPG tanker and watching it intentionally go dark — turning off its AIS to sneak through the chokepoint, before popping right back on the radar on the other side. OSINT is too much fun. Pulling this together to a bigger 4D god's eye view of the gulf region. — https://nitter.net/bilawalsidhu/status/2038143105493348730#m

Wondering how to get started with 3d gaussian splatting? nitter.net/bilawalsidhu/status/20… Bilawal Sidhu (@bilawalsidhu) 3d gaussian splatting is really fun! If you've been curious about how to create radiance fields using your phone, DSLR, 360 cameras, or high-end LiDAR-based rigs, then I think you'll enjoy my new deep dive. So true. Makes zero sense that Epic Games Reality Scan app doesn't support native 3D gaussian splat training. Nor does it make sense that Sketchfab doesn't support viewing/sharing of 3DGS files. Could be two layups. Instead, so many users pose/register their 3D scans in RealityCapture and export to Litchfeld or Postshot for 3DGS training. Azad Balabanian (@Azadux) my supersplat profile is taking place of my sketchfab account as i've stopped producing photogrammetry meshes and focused on 3DGS superspl.at/user?id=azadbal kinda sad that it's not all in one place — https://nitter.net/Azadux/status/2038040599451017315#m
