Building an AI Industry Rankings System with Open Licensing
By
–
A valid complaint. Someone should consider building a CSIndustryrankings. Likely someone from Google, which would probably be on top of such a ranking. But release it with a more restrictive license so we could make a CSRankings equivalent that is receptive to the community 🙂

CS Rankings PR approval delays and restrictive license concerns
By

… I submitted a PR in August (
https://
github.com/emeryberger/CS
rankings/pull/4875
…), immediately after this post soliciting pull requests (
https://
x.com/CSrankings/sta
tus/1558140188936884226
…). Still not merged.
4. The license is CC Attribution NoDerivates, which gives the owner dicator power. Still, I like its utility as a list. -
Open Source Project Management Issues and Research Incentives

On the negative side, my complaints are:
1. Certain design choices that are norm inducing (more publications does not imply a better researcher)
2. The owner is unresponsive to requests for additions (

…)
3. The owner is slow in merging PRs… 1/2 -
CS Rankings: Essential Directory for Computer Science Faculty
By

I think @CSrankings is a helpful resource. I don't care about the "rankings". But I like that it's a single place to find a *list* of people active in a research area. If you're a faculty in CS, you should make sure you're listed there. https://
