That said, it appears there is case law that relates to Fair Use *not* being granted for unlawfully accepted works — and that's the standard internationally. You don't get Fair Use for unlawfully acquired works, so there may well be multiple infringements there.

OK, let's go back to basics then: Copyright is a bundle of rights, all of which can be infringed upon. When you copy someone's work in ways they don't authorize, you *infringe* upon their exclusive Right Of Reproduction. Piracy is infringement.
