I doubt free users will get GPTs since it will be a rev share model. I can see them doing something where, if someone signed up to Plus because they want to use a certain GPT, the creator gets a commission for converting someone to Plus (this is what Poe does).

GPT Store Revenue Share Model: Top Performers Only
By
–
I’m not sure yet. My guess is a rev share model similar to X and Spotify. But unlike X and Spotify, only the top percentage of GPTs will get the rev share. I don’t think everyone who makes a GPT and puts it in the store will make money. Only top x%.

GPT-Store Winners: SaaS APIs and Proprietary Data

Respected Tech Founders: Deep Involvement and Customer Obsession

Two founders I really respect:
Amjad Masad (
@amasad
), Guillermo Rauch (
@rauchg
). Same reason:
Both are still in the trenches, deep in the details, know everything that's going on in their tooling and infrastructure, directly talk to customers and users, obsessed about winning. -
GPT-Store Success Requires APIs and Proprietary Data
By

I'm not necessarily negative about the GPT-Store. I just think the only GPTs that people will care about are the ones that are connected to APIs or have propriety data. I've seen a lot of X posts and YouTube videos talking like it's going to be an easy "biz-opp" and I just don't

AI Agents Success Requires Specialized Functions and Proprietary Data
By
–
I think we actually agree… I mentioned that the only ones that will be successful will have specialized functions (due to APIs) or proprietary data… The other 99.9% will likely be junk though.
