Multi-Agent Software Engineering: Branch-and-Merge Coordination Strategies
By
–
As long-horizon software engineering tasks grow in complexity, a single agent can no longer finish the tasks alone — effective multi-agent collaboration becomes necessary. This leads to a natural question: how can multiple agents be coordinated to asynchronously collaborate over a shared artifact in an effective way? We answer this question in our new preprint: Effective Strategies for Asynchronous Software Engineering Agents! We suggest that to coordinate multiple software engineering agents, branch-and-merge is the key coordination mechanism, and that human SWE primitives like git worktree, git commit, and git merge are all you need to support it. Arena Physica Builds EM Foundation Model for Physics
By
–
@PratapRanade
's argument is that humans didn't evolve to intuit EM fields, but machines can be taught to. His company, @arenaphysica
, is building an EM foundation model (like an LLM but for physics instead of language) that learns the relationship between shapes and fields -

AI Startup Arena Physica Aims to Master RF Electromagnetic Engineering
By

Many AI agent demos show you the output. This one shows the process.
— Randy Olson (@randal_olson) 24 mars 2026
I built a quality standard encoding Tufte's data visualization principles as an API, pointed @ManusAI at a dataset, and told it to keep improving until it passed.
