~30% of true/false voters made the biggest misconception in privacy-preserving ML. Fact: federated learning is not private. @jasondeanlee and @tomgoldsteincs posted some nice papers showing this. Also, here's a blog explainer I like by @fraboeni et al.: http://

AI Superintelligence Through Scale and Collaboration Beyond Human Training
By
–
How superintelligent is an average intelligent human for whom time flows 1000X slower and gets to colaborate with 1000 copies? I was in convo yesterday doubting that AI can ever go beyond human when it is trained on human. Even if that were true (imo isn't) there's more+faster.

Neural Networks Exploiting Background Correlations in Price Predictions
By
–
Fun! "It appears that, even though the model predicts the same make/model for all of the images, the background can influence the predicted price by almost $10k!" Haha, neural nets are happy and eager to take advantage of all the easy correlations you allow them to latch on to 🙂

For zero-shot prompts with instructions text-davinci-003 does better in my experience. The text models are actually trained on just as much code as code-davinci-002.

Algorithmic Changes and Pod Detection Speculation

Oh, some of those folks were. Based on what I know, I am very confident there was an algo change of some kind. Whether it got better at detecting pods in addition to whatever else it did, that's an interesting idea.
