Because I made drama and @joshdholtz jumped up put his kids away and rushed to a release. It is unmaintained *by Google*; they stopped all funding. It should no longer be under their umbrella.

Google’s Neglect of Acquired Open Source Project Raises Concerns

Google bought the project back then; so the expectation is that they at least spend a few peanuts to maintain OR communicate that it’s 100% community again. The fact that they did neither is not a good look for them.

It’s open source. It just shouldn’t be under the Google umbrella if they can’t even be bothered to pay a freelancer for a few hours per month. Maybe @mobilenativefdn would be a good place.
