How superintelligent is an average intelligent human for whom time flows 1000X slower and gets to colaborate with 1000 copies? I was in convo yesterday doubting that AI can ever go beyond human when it is trained on human. Even if that were true (imo isn't) there's more+faster.

Neural Networks Exploiting Background Correlations in Price Predictions
By
–
Fun! "It appears that, even though the model predicts the same make/model for all of the images, the background can influence the predicted price by almost $10k!" Haha, neural nets are happy and eager to take advantage of all the easy correlations you allow them to latch on to 🙂

For zero-shot prompts with instructions text-davinci-003 does better in my experience. The text models are actually trained on just as much code as code-davinci-002.

Chain-of-Thought and Consensus Enhance GPT-3 Problem Solving
By
–
Chain-of-thought allows GPT-3 to solve problems it otherwise cannot solve at all. Consensus allows it to more reliably solve problems it can only solve some of the time. Here, we use both to demonstrate multi-step reasoning and recitation of factual knowledge.

Next we apply "Let's think step by step," the method developed by Kojima et al. for improving accuracy on deductive reasoning problems. This encourages the model to lay out its reasoning, making it more likely to be right: https://

Posted my fifth annual review of my dated predictions from Jan 1, 2018, about self driving cars, AI/ML & Robotics, and human spaceflight. They seemed pessimistic back then, but they are standing the test of time. BONUS five new curmudgeonly predictions. https://
