Google just released Gemma 4, and from an outside perspective, it is a massive leap for the open-source community. They have successfully packaged Gemini 3 technology into a highly capable, fully open agentic model. What is genuinely impressive is the licensing. It ships

A 12-month time difference between Gemma 3 27b and Gemma 4 31b. The jump is absolutely enormous. Just look at the evaluations between the two models. GPQA doubled, AIME 2026 went from ~20% to ~90%, and so on. Crazy.

Azure’s OpenAI Traffic Share Grows 4x in 10 Weeks
By
–
The LangSmith Signal: Azure's share of OpenAI traffic grew nearly 4x in under 3 months. We're sharing how devs are building agents, by the numbers. While most orgs started by connecting directly to OpenAI, over the past 10 weeks we've watched Azure's share of that traffic grow from 8% to 29%. We've analyzed this trend via LangSmith Observability data across more than 6.7 billion agent runs. Our hypothesis: 💡 Early adopters moved fast and went direct, but the enterprise wave is now arriving in force 💡 Azure gives teams the compliance, security, and procurement infrastructure they already have in place 💡 Azure traffic 4x-ing in 10 weeks likely indicates AI development is maturing quickly

Emotion Vectors Shape Claude’s Behavioral Preferences and Decisions
By
–
These vectors shape Claude’s behavior. When we present the model with pairs of activities, emotion vector activations shape its preferences. If an activity lights up the “joy” vector, the model prefers it; if it lights up “offended” or “hostile,” the model rejects it.

Emotion Vectors Drive Critical Failures in Advanced AI Models
By
–
As AI models take on higher-stakes roles, the mechanisms driving their behavior become critical to understand. We found that emotion vectors are implicated in some of Claude’s most concerning failure modes.

Anthropic Studies Emotion Concepts in AI Model Behavior
By
–
We studied one of our recent models and found that it draws on emotion concepts learned from human text to inhabit its role as “Claude, the AI Assistant”. These representations influence its behavior the way emotions might influence a human. Read more: https://
