I think there are always tradeoffs! But generally I like that an artist viewpoint is a bit more expansive / helps us see things that were previously invisible. We don’t have to totally get rid of a scientific viewpoint either, they can enrich each other

The tech world is abandoning rationalism for aesthetics. The 2010s were dominated by scientific metaphors: hypothesis, theory, feedback loops. Now that AI can handle squishy, intuitive, emotional thinking, we're moving to artistic metaphors: vibes, beauty, and taste.

The predominant metaphor for business and technology in the 2010s was science. That’s why we used words like hypothesis, theory, and feedback loops. Now that we’re using words like vibes, the metaphor is shifting to art.
