I did a fun podcast with @swyx and @FanaHOVA .
Listen (or read the auto-generated transcript) here: https://
latent.space/p/soumith I gave raw unprepared thoughts on a bunch of topics, hope you find them interesting enough to critique but not bad enough to dunk (ymmv).

New podcast on emerging AI topics with swyx

–
Did a podcast in a long time, and @swyx made me talk net-new things (no repeat of PyTorch history and stuff).
There's a lot of unrefined; riffy thoughts but I thought it was fun. -

Claude3 vs GPT-4: Impressive Performance with Hallucination Concerns
By
–
Claude3 is super impressive. Nearly as good as GPT-4 on average from my usage so far. Congrats to everyone who worked hard on it! Here's my feedback:
* It does hallucinate way more than GPT4 — noticed it as soon as AINews switched to Claude3, including silly hallucinations like -

PyTorch Profiler Tutorial Fix in Nightly Release

… )
and on the Nightly, this seem to have been fixed.
So it was either fixed in 2.1/2.2; or it'll be fixed in the next release. -
Leveraging AI Lists for Strategic Business Work

i've used your list for a bunch of strategy work. Thanks for that!
(I paid X their API access fees just to get your list into an excel sheet)
It's pretty awesome and serves a different purpose. -
AI News Newsletter: High-Value Daily Curation for AI Updates
By
–
reading "AI News" (previously Smol Talk) is probably the highest-leverage 45 mins I spend everyday on catching up with what's going on in AI. So much alpha, organized hierarchically; an exceptionally well curated (and summarized) daily newslettter. Probably only suited for
