To be clear, the article didn't really focus on any of the above. I was just making a suggestion that Redis could play an important role in AI, which isn't (to my knowledge) something the Valkey community cares about (or not as much)

So charge for it, whether directly to users or through corporate sponsorships. I've seen this movie before in open source: relying on the charity of others to keep tech running doesn't work. Even Mozilla figured out a way to pay for its existence (ie antitrust shield for Google)

I know it's now unfashionable to like X, and it certainly has issues, but I've tried the alternatives and…they're not better. Maybe someday they will be, but I'd prefer to fix X than to try to recreate it somewhere else. Just my $.02
