I’d say LOL but along with the myth of “watermarking” comes the reality that nobody who is actually regulating will just say, “Programs that have “hallucinations” are programs with ERRORS like telling people to consume poison.” Take them away from the general public. Period.

Western Bias in AI: Language and Programmer Assumptions
By

This is all largely Western oriented reasoning, yes? And “natural” language denies myriad languages along with inherent biases of programmers etc? When a universal statement says “X system does Y as good as people” the lack of specificity diminishes humans & the systems alike.

What AI discussions are we missing?

Agreed on how insufferable everything is. As a positive change (I hope and respectfully submitted), what are any aspects of AI, ChatGPT etc you wish people would discuss but never do? I’d welcome your thoughts.

The appeal of human writers has also greatly diminished where productivity and efficiency are prioritized for certain types of writing g (eg, annual reports, basic sports reporting on stats). This is why in 2016 I used the term, “human journalist” in my Mashable bio.

I’m wondering if you feel your amazing Labels could be used for the “watermarking” we all know will not utilize sovereign indigenous or FPIC to “regulate” AI / LLMs? Your labels are so specific, impactful & inspirational & should be the model for labeling writ large for AI.

IP Asymmetry: Valuing AI Corporate Rights Over Human Agency
By
