The world NEEDS water. Where non LLM oriented AI is helping the planet (and it is in many ways), yes – let’s use it. Where the ecosystem surrounding LLMs including ye olde chip logic “justified” by saying “nuclear fusion will solve our energy needs” is again obfuscation .

Orgs like @UptimeInstitute have done excellent reporting on how only 39% of data centers (2022 report) report on water usage. The logic for this, from DC owners is “there’s no regulation or business incentive to report” said water usage. Again, I don’t u destined.

I believe the AP reported on another state in the US where something similar happened and again, I don’t understand. If the logic is the resources or our planet that need protection along with accurate data around their availability, hiding that info for any reason is criminal.
