You can’t say “ban guns” in America. Or you can to no avail. But I am saying “Ban LLMs until they prioritize planet and people.” Everyone needs water. We don’t need LLMs until said systems STOP expediting massive water loss. The world is on fire and suffering drought. #BanLLMs

What if we make “Ban” an acronym for “Biodiversity and Nature?” Then a BAN on LLMs would help remind people we DON’T need tools that siphon vast amounts of water to help build PPTs faster and harm lives of kids getting accused of cheating. We do NEED water. It is us. #Ban LLMs.

If a warring nation came to the US & threatened our aquifers/kept water from citizens/agriculture, we all would rightly freak out. Yet most LLMs (“Large Liquid Models”) that use massive amounts of water are touted as “progress.” Ban LLMs until they don’t use water. #BanLLMs

All while using 1/2 a liter of water per 15 minute LLM usage as the world burns and drought continues. The world needs water, not extractive LLMs. Ban then until they’re proven to not steal water, IP and data. What else do they need to steal before we ban them? #banLLMs
