Benchmarks now match this anecdotal performance. There’s a place for formal benchmarks. But that’s not the only thing businesses look at when picking models. It’s: performance ON SPECIFIC TASK (ex: may need huge context), cost, partnerships, PRIVACY and security, speed, etc.
