I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts on this! I was seeing a lot of “GPT store is coming, here’s how you set yourself up to get rich with it” type posts on X & YT. I don’t know how the rev share model is going to work yet but I imagine the volume of GPTs will dilute

I doubt free users will get GPTs since it will be a rev share model. I can see them doing something where, if someone signed up to Plus because they want to use a certain GPT, the creator gets a commission for converting someone to Plus (this is what Poe does).

I think if they let creators slap price tags on them from the beginning, it’s going to be a real mess. A lot of low-effort GPTs, charging high price tags to make an easy buck. I have to imagine it will be rev share from the beginning.
