It's a constant battle between naming for the algorithm and naming for the content. I'm always trying to find that balance. To keep the machine rolling, I need views. To keep people happy, I need relevant titles. I'm always trying to find that middle ground.

This is exactly right. In my experience being a good scientist doesn’t make one necessarily more virtuous. In too many cases the exact opposite happens, due to the so called “licensing effect” based on the self perception of intellectual superiority.
