Yes, until the app store deploys a bot to keep the bots in check. Then the bots will hire humans to call up and reason with the app store bot, and it, in turn, will hire its own humans to deal with those humans. And so on.

Speed Building vs Methodical Planning: A-B Testing Prototypes
By

Very interesting. I wonder, though, does being able to build things very quickly really reduce the need to think and plan methodically? Or are you able to A-B test prototypes quickly, too, to see what works?

AI Creates Meditation App: New Research on Autonomous Development
By
–
This meditation app is was invented, designed and coded, and then submitted to the app store by an AI model (it made a few mistakes along the way). In a new research paper, @sayashk and others say having AI take on this kind of messy open world task could offer a better way to

AI Impact on Technical Jobs: Opportunities Beyond Job Displacement
By

I can't help feeling this is a bit of an own goal from Dario. Surely the reality is a bit more complicated, and it would seem wise to emphasize both the uncertainty and the fact that AI might also create new opportunities for technical people. https://t.co/T5tny39hAp

AI Job Displacement: Understanding Complexity Beyond Simple Narratives

I think this is a good insight. The tricky thing may be emphasizing this kind of complexity amid anecdotes of AI replacing some workers, as it inevitably will.

AI Models Automate Self-Jailbreaking Process Advancement
By
–
I mentioned this project in this week's AI Lab newsletter. It suggests a kind of flip side to the idea of self-improvement in AI models. As models become more powerful, it shows they can automate the process of figuring out how to jailbreak themselves and other models remarkably
