I feel like this might be picking up some false positives. Scholar also says that the vision transformer paper (

arxiv.org/abs/2010.11929) only has about 10k citations total. There must be some way to see how many are from 2022…

Of course, it's just a joke 🙂 However, I have been privy to some conversations where citing was begrudgingly: e.g., they never cite our work, why should we cite theirs, or the person did negative behaviour X, they don't deserve to be cited. But these shouldn't supersede science
