GPL affects everything, you can‘t really. Huge red flag if you ever wanna sell. Doubly true if you wanna submit in the App Store, GPL is incompatible with the restrictions Apple puts you on.

With a commercial version? I wouldn‘t touch GPL code for any private project and in a company I would instruct folks to not even look at it; don‘t ever want to contaminate something with GPL.
