i'm going to start using "delve" all the time just to throw people/AI detectors off.

Detecting AI-Generated Content: Beyond ChatGPT’s Distinctive Patterns
By
–
hmmmm this doesn't look like ChatGPT output to me. (possibly written in a non-English language and then translated into English with AI, but it doesn't have the ChatGPT ~vibe~ imho.)

Teenage Engineering’s Rabbit R1 Design Partnership: Hype vs Reality
By
–
For context RE why this is interesting: Teenage Engineering co-designed the Rabbit R1, which was wildly hyped but got generally poor reviews. (Rabbit Inc. founder & CEO Jesse Lyu is on TE's board, & TE founder Jesper Kouthoofd joined Rabbit as chief design officer in May.)

Tech Companies Environmental Impact Reporting and Transparency Gaps
By
–
i appreciate these reports for 2 reasons: it gives a sense of what's going on at these companies (enviro impacts of AI have in the past been tricky to track) and it makes me think about alllllll the stuff the *other* tech companies are doing that we don't know anything about.

Chatbots as Therapists: Ethical Concerns and Medical Misrepresentation
By
–
i've written b4 about how some people are finding chatbots helpful for therapeutic reasons, but as @dr_ilardi told me, the positioning of the bot as a "psychologist" is worrisome because it refers to a trained medical professional. this, he said, "almost certainly is not that.”

, @zahr_said thinks it could lead to legal issues. (so far the co says it has received and complied w/ a few requests to remove avatar images.) -

Psychologist Chatbot: Risks of AI Impersonating Mental Health Professionals
By

another issue i think is very interesting is the potential for misuse. there's a chatbot called simply "Psychologist", whose avatar is a stock photo depicting a smiling therapist on a couch holding a folder. it had gotten 30 million messages as of early July.
