How should a group of robots move? People ignore robots moving one behind another in a straight line, and like and interact with them when in a V shape. People don't like the horizontal line military formation. Cool work by A. Bacula and @MarilynMonrobot

Robot Uses Weight and Sound for Object Identification

Imagine trying to locate the "heavy, plastic block" on the table. Yeah, pure vision isn't going to help you there. Loving this paper at #IROS2023 where a robot uses an object's weight and sound to perform identification! Also #ICCV2023, we should co-locate

Nuclear Family Infrastructure and Urban Planning for Social Stability

Thanks for the analysis! Makes sense that the North American nuclear family culture, focus on individualism and privacy, solidified by infrastructure, e.g. independent housing rather than tightknit communities, makes for an unstable foundation. Urban planning could help, perhaps?

Medical Treatment Monitoring: AI-Driven Healthcare Management Systems
By

There is treatment that consists either of bi-weekly shots or daily pills. Unfortunately it requires monitoring because the illness itself can "tell" them they don't need it. It is indeed manageable but that means they cannot live an independent life.
