Chatbots Connected to Search: Sparrow and Perplexity AI
By
–
E.g. our own Sparrow connects a chatbot to @Google search. A cool demo by @perplexity_ai shows something similar, and also allows you to query a @Twitter database for e.g. "histogram of top words from my tweets" (somehow I seem to use @ylecun a lot???).

AlphaFold2 Dominates CASP15 Protein Folding Competition
By
–
Protein folding competition #CASP15 has followed the same pattern observed in computer vision back in 2012, revolutionized by Deep Learning. Following dominance of #AlphaFold2 in #CASP14, all top methods this year build on top of AF2.

Flamingo AI Advances Computer Vision Beyond Past Predictions
By

… in which he describes how difficult it would be for an AI to understand a given photo, concluding "we are very, very far and this depresses me."
Today, our Flamingo steps up to the challenge. -

Testing Flamingo AI’s Image Recognition Against Parental Challenge
