I could see it actually working on a regular phone but I’d assume the phone would need to cameras on the face to see both eyes. Not sure it would feel as intuitive on a phone.

You could using your Mac keyboard or using text to speech. No way you could with the built in keyboard. That still feels kind of rough to type with. If your eye accidentally looks at the wrong letter while your finger tries to press the right one, it usually types the wrong one.
