Just look at how quickly Deepmind turned around their reputation; partly thanks to better product, but also a lot thanks to much better engagement. Very positive, really focused on listening and quick and effective action in response.

Yeah I agree. I think Anush is just particularly bad at this part of his job. They need someone who's an expert at dev relationships doing social outreach. Basically every other company in the AI/ML hw and sw spaces have dedicated people that are really good at this.

AMD just worked closely, and to great effect, with the CUDA Mode competition, as highlighted recently by Lisa Su. I think AMD has basically gotten as much from this direction as they're gonna get, for now. It worked great, but I'm not sure it will get AMD to MLPerf.
