1/2 We've had "honest" teleoperated robots since the 1950's when they started to be used for handling nuclear material. In fact those follower robots (with human leader) were the first robots used for autonomous action. Heinrich Ernst (PhD advisor: Claude Shannon) 1961 at MIT.
